Covers made from alpharim 1500 can absorb 1,369 joules of energy in a drop test without requiring metal reinforcement. The tests shown in the video demonstrate the difference between a conventional cover and a cover made from alpharim 1500.
This energy absorption passes a FOPS-test.
The absorbed energy can also exceed 1,369 joules, depending on the structure of the cover. Covers made from alpharim 1500 are lightweight components, thus enabling weight reduction. Electromagnetic waves are also not shielded, which is of great importance e.g. in the railway industry.
Furthermore, no condensation forms on covers made of alpharim, which is advantageous for built-in electronics.
